Ms. Gammon was born in Baltimore, MD and then immediately moved to New Hampshire. She moved to Phoenix as an adolescent and has lived there ever since. After high school, Ms. Gammon obtained her Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services. She started her post-college career working as the Assistant Program Manager in a therapeutic group home for teenage girls. She continued her career taking a position as the Program Manager at a detention alternative group home for teenage boys. Wanting to have a greater impact on student lives, she decided to go back to school and earn her teacher certification. She is highly qualified to teach Math, and is also certified to teach English with a Reading Specialist Endorsement, and a Structured English Immersion Endorsement. She is currently the lead teacher at Tumbleweed Transitional Learning Center. When Ms. Gammon is not in the classroom she volunteers at an elementary school, and participates in various fundraising events. She is also involved with Tumbleweed’s “Youth Advisory Board,” empowering students and fostering their personal growth. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends, reading murder mystery books, watching sports, and spending time with her son Chase.
